The game is slated for release on the Chromatic in the first quarter of 2025, and can now be pre-ordered <a href=\"https:\/\/modretro.com\/products\/chantey\">on the ModRetro website\u00a0for $39.99 USD<\/a>. The game cartridge will be fully\u00a0backwards compatible with the entire Game Boy\u00ae line of video game consoles.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Chantey<\/strong> is an upcoming pirate metal-inspired top-down adventure, mixing open-world exploration and rhythm game elements. Set in an alternate history where Golden Age pirate mythology and headbanging metal riffs collide, you play as a young-man-turned-pirate, entangled in a fierce pirate vendetta between the descendants of the legendary \u2018Nightingale Pirate\u2019 on a quest to rule the seven seas beneath the vibrant echoes of rousing pirate metal anthems.
